Mother’s Day Gifts – How to Actually Give the Present

29 March 2010 No Comment

Mother’s Day is almost here and we’re all gearing up to purchase presents and give them to our lovely mothers. One aspect of Mother’s Day that’s often overlooked is not the gift but the actual process of giving the gift. In essence, delivery is just as important as the gift itself.

Let’s say you purchase an amazing present for your mom, but simply leave it sitting on the couch in a paper bag. What does this say? To me: not much.

The goal is not to buy your mom a gift, but actually surprise her with one and present it in a thoughtful way. Take her to a nice dinner, cook for her, surprise her in some way, etc. All of these things will show that you not only swiped a debit card, but put time and effort into saying thank you.

Lastly, regarding the gift, please do us all a favor and wrap it. Simply using gift wrapping, however bad it may turn out, is still important.

Have a wonderful Mother’s Day!

Sincerely,

Memorable Gifts
