Green Father’s Day Gift Ideas – Shopping Online

17 May 2010 No Comment

This Father’s Day think about preserving the planet, being eco-friendly, and giving your father a gift that will promote Mother Earth while simultaneously showing your dad how much you love him. This can be accomplished a couple ways, which I’ve decided to share in this article.

By eliminating excess travel, we have the ability to save gas, which reduces carbon emissions and helps preserve the planet. Utilizing the internet to shop for Father’s Day presents and having them shipped directly to your dad is the most eco-friendly or “green” way of shopping. No driving, no shipping from the manufacturer to department stores, etc. Products can be shipped directly from manufacturers to your dad, which cuts out the middle man and excess shipping.

Think about it this way: Companies manufacture products and ship them to department stores, then you drive to buy them, drive home, and send them to your dad. On the other hand, by shopping online directly from gift manufacturers, a gift is purchased via the internet and no driving is done, then it’s shipped one time to the recipient.

Also, regarding the gifts themselves, think about purchasing your father a present that’s made of eco-friendly materials. Instead of buying him a picture frame made of rare wood, give him a picture frame that’s constructed from a sustainable resource like bamboo, which grows very quickly. Or, gifts from recycled materials are excellent for Father’s Day presents.

The above reasons are why I propose shopping for Father’s Day gifts online. It’s better for Mother Earth.

Sincerely,
Memorable Gifts
