Giving Your Friend a Gift Because: It’s a Nice Day!

12 July 2010 No Comment

Almost every time we give our friends gifts it’s for an official occasion — a birthday, anniversary, graduation or a holiday. But, it really shouldn’t be this way. Giving your friend a gift should be done out of thought not as an obligation, and this article will touch on gifting for no specific reason at all.

For one, gifts should not be given because you’re required to. Give a gift because you truly want to — say thank you for being a good friend or congrats on something small that was achieved. The most important, memorable gifts are the ones we’re not expecting and these will provide memories for many years to come. Receiving a gift on a special occasion is expected, which is why part of the fun in receiving the gift is eliminated.

Secondly, as an idea for giving a gift for no particular reason at all, think about going out with your friend to enjoy the day — a hike, road trip or something similar — and give them a small gift for the simple fact that it’s a nice day and they’re a good friend. I have close friends that have helped me a great deal throughout the years, as I’m sure you do too, and it’s good to show these friends that you’re appreciative.

I hope this article has been helpful and good luck.

Sincerely,
